In the midst of working on his new music, we got to sit down with the Orange County Native AR/Melody. When asked what was his biggest point he wanted to stress to people who listen to his music " Don't look at where I'm at now, and think I've always been here. "
AR/Melody started his music career as a Reggae artist recording music as a teenager with his then producer Brandon Hausser, who unfortunately passed away in a car accident, forcing AR to once again look at the world around him and adjust through his emotions, obstacles, & grief. However AR/Melody did what he has grown accustomed to doing & weathered the storm.
Growing up in Orange County for AR wasn't as easy as you'd imagine. As a child he moved from Palm Springs with his mom and brother to OC because his father was battling drug and alcohol abuse repeatedly taking out his frustrations on his family, almost killing his mother multiple times in front of him.
He doesn't let it get to him though, he uses all of the struggles he's been through to bring his supporters the most organic, emotion felt music he can. With new hits such as TrapOut Blackout , Ease ,Cup In My Hand , What That Do , I Wish You Would , & More. Look out for new AR/Melody daily as he has endless new content coming your way.
Next time you look at a kid from the beach think twice about calling them privileged, because you never know what someone has been through. Sometimes the most put together people went through the roughest past or as AR/Melody put it " I know the struggle ".
